Flo Kasearu 'Uprising'

For her first solo show at the gallery, Flo Kasearu will present new works. The exhibition entitled “Uprising” builds around a video filmed during roof maintenance works performed on a building in Tallinn’s Pelgulinn district, where the artist lives and where she has been hosting her “Flo Kasearu House Museum” project. The video will be accompanied by drawings and 3D models. 

Flo Kasearu (b. 1985) is an artist based in Tallinn. A graduate of the Estonian Academy of the Arts Painting department BA in 2008, she also studied Multimedia at Universtität der Künste Berlin under Rebecca Horn studio, and later returned to Estonian Academy of the Arts to compete her MA in photography. Her recent exhibitions include “We Are On the Way” at Zacheta Project Room, Warsaw (2014); “Flo Kasearu's House Museum” at Flo Kasearu House Museum, Tallinn (2013 - ongoing); “21.05.09 / 14.06.09” (with Tõnis Saadoja) at Contemporary Art Centre (CAC), Vilnius; Artists House, Tartu; and Art Hall Gallery, Tallinn (2011-2012).
