A custom-made calendar was printed on top of one of my previous works. Can’t we imagine the history of art as a calendar where single works of art are ordered mainly as dates? At the same time, artworks are quasi-subjects which in the present-day economy, which blends emotions and technology, are clothed in theories and treated as celebrities in blogs and at auctions. The mannequin was made in a form of a fence, which spikes refer to the Kremlin’s walls, to show that any activity in Russia is subject to the brutal state power.
