"Yes, I Often Came By Here"
installation views, ARS Showroom gallery 2019
On the walls of the Showroom gallery of ARS Art Factory we see five photographic images; two transparent and reflective plastic boards resting against the wall, the surface color of which changes according to the light and the position of the viewer; the boards also draw a reflecting window which functions as the end wall of the gallery into the exhibition whole, and exceptionally there is one object added by the artist - a round lamp reminiscent of the moon - behind the window on the outer wall of the building. The photos show us two empty white spaces - butterflies descended on a light fabric on one side and a maze of willow twigs and leaves on the other. The patterns or rhythms that these shapes create on the image surface are different in each photo, but they are also meant to sound together. In a sense, these images should not be experienced as visual images, but as music.
