Kris Lemsalu is currently an artist-in-residence at IASPIS Malmö from September 30 to December 31, 2024.

Kris Lemsalu (b. 1985, EE) creates, in a combination of sculpture, performance and installation, suggestive and imaginative narratives where the artist herself together with her constantly expanding network of friends and colleagues plays the main roles.

Lemsalu shares her nomadic life between Tallinn, Vienna, New York and the rest of the world. Recent exhibitions include Belvedere 21, Museum of Contemporary Art, Vienna (2024); Tartu Art Museum (2024); High Line Art, with Kyp Malone, New York (2022); KW Institute for Contemporary Art, with Kyp Malone, Berlin (2020) and Secession, Vienna (2018). Kris Lemsalu represented Estonia at the Venice Biennial 2019.

Kris Lemsalu’s stay in Malmö at IAC is co-organised by Moderna Museet Malmö and IASPIS.
