Katja Novitskova at Carré d'Art museum in Nîmes, France
Katja Novitskova together with Hugo Laporte as a part of Art triennale La Contemporaine de Nîmes, Carré d'Art museum in Nîmes, France
Presented during La Contemporaine de Nîmes, from April 5 to June 23, then extended until 22 September, 2024.
At Carré d'Art - musée d'art contemporain de Nîmes, artists Hugo Laporte and Katja Novitskova are proposing the foundations of a museum and archaeological institution from a time we do not yet know, yet not so far from our own. It brings together what could be the traces and artefacts of a future humanity, grappling with increasingly troubling ecological, technological, geopolitical and cultural issues. "Oracle Museum" is built around a fictitious museography, featuring a wide range of objects, images, sounds, mythologies and characters created by the artists using machines and artificial intelligence to show us a future that is still avoidable.
